As we approach the back-to-school season, we're launching a bold initiative to transform anxiety into inspiration. Our question:
Who's the mentor who changed your life?
We've gathered powerful stories from visionaries like Tara Clark, Deb Liu, Eve Rodsky, Vlad Magdalin, Rashid Johnson, Dr. Cassidy, Catherine McCord, and Sasha Alexander. Their experiences underscore a vital truth: one mentor can spark a lifetime of change.
"I used to shrink to make myself smaller, and one day, Mrs. Caprillian saw me in the hall..."
"[She] literally changed my life [...] I never would have gotten into medical school..."
This campaign was born from a conversation with my 90-year-old grandfather about his 5th-grade teacher, Mrs. Ruth Goldblatt. In 1945, she saw potential in a struggling student, forever altering his path. Today, her influence echoes through his career as a doctor and the lives he's touched.
Pop and I reading a note that Mrs. Goldblatt wrote to him in 1962 in response to a letter of gratitude he had sent, updating her on how much she had shaped his life and career as a doctor.
This story ignited our curiosity: How many others have been transformed by a single mentor? The responses we've received have been overwhelming, validating Curious Cardinals' mission like never before.
