Originally from Sweden, and now living in NYC, I am a passionate advocate for female empowerment and fashion. Ever since I was a little girl, fashion has been a vehicle for me to express myself, take creative risks, and to connect with others. With MAUD, I aim to explore the intersection of fashion and feminism by showcasing the stories of women leaders in the industry. I hope to dispel the myth that there is only one way to break into fashion and inspire the next generation to embrace their unique passions and aspirations in the world of fashion. When I am not in school or working on MAUD, I love playing field hockey, listening to podcasts, and hanging out with my friends. Scrolling through Tik Tok is a daily ritual as well where I find my fashion inspiration and stay up to date on the latest trends.

The Impact of Female Mentorship

In honor of Women’s History Month, I’m excited to share how my experience with Curious Cardinals and the amazing female mentors I’ve had along the way have played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today. Startingmy Curious Cardinals journey as a timid eighth grader who lacked confidence, I’m now a senior in high school taking on the most challenging courses. Next fall, I will be attending Cornell where I plan to study Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
