The Mentor Your Busy Child Actually Wants

Note from audrey

Your Child's Next Mentor Could Be Batman

(Yes, really—we have Gotham's David Mazouz on our mentor roster)

When David Mazouz joined our mentorship team, it reminded us of something we already knew: exceptional mentors can be both accomplished and approachable. Instead of being one of his 565,000 Instagram followers, your child can work with him one-on-one.

Our Mentor Network Includes:

  • Two Rhodes Scholars
  • An Olympic Athlete
  • And too many valedictorians, class presidents, and Fulbright Scholars to count (trust us, we tried counting once during a team meeting and had to take a snack break)

But credentials aren't everything. Our mentors are chosen because they're both highly accomplished and genuinely relatable—the kind of role models who make success feel achievable.

Why Mentorship Matters Now

Let's be honest: teens naturally start tuning out parental advice. While you can't control who they follow on TikTok or sit with at lunch, you can introduce them to a Curious Cardinals mentor who combines academic excellence, and extracurricular achievement, with real-world perspective.

As someone who meets with two mentors monthly (and yes, I convinced my co-founder and my highly competent parents to get coaches), I've seen firsthand how these relationships transform lives.

The Research Backs It Up

Angela Duckworth notes that "interests thrive when there is a crew of encouraging supporters." Atul Gawande emphasizes that in order to get great at anything, get a coach.

This Isn't Just Another Tutoring Service

Our mentors don't just help with homework—they inspire growth:

  • Create and star in a film project with David (yes, Batman himself) 🎥
  • Learn to balance academics and athletics from Simon, Alex, and Joseph—Division I athletes who've mastered both (think: help with homework plus executive function skills from someone your busy athlete can look up to and see themselves in—perfect for saving time and staying organized) 📚🥎
  • Develop policy papers or conduct your own research with Zander or Dharma, our Fulbright Scholars who can teach you how to conduct research in a fun, accessible way 🔎
  • Turn writing into awards with Divya or Aidan, Gold Key medalists who know the path to success (seriously—the Scholastic Art & Writing Competition due date is coming up this December—work on a piece to submit today!) 📝

Why Curious Cardinals?

We're not adding to your child's workload—we're amplifying their potential. Whether replacing traditional tutoring or providing expert guidance on existing projects, our mentors make excellence accessible and achievement attainable.
